Gift Idea

One gift I've done for several years has been a photo calendar. In years past, I've printed the calendar pages with meaningful dates to the family (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). The only die cuts I used came from using an Ellison or Sizzix press. Now that I have my KNK, making the calendars look unique will be much easier.



I may just start by using the following file. Each of the months has a letter replaced with a die cut. Those dies could be enlarged and used elsewhere on the calendar. They could also be used for cards and scrapbook pages.

A Bit of Warmth

As I look out the window and see the snowflakes falling, I'm glad I'm in my nice, warm house. To send some warmth your way, enjoy some hot cocoa. (This file would compliment the snowflakes, snow angel, or pies rather nicely. It could also become coffee or tea by removing the marshmallows.)

I just put the finishing touches on some homemade gifts today by adding some gift tags. The gifts are herbs that my sister-in-law and I dehydrated from our gardens. We're adding in a cookbook filled with frugal favorites, a jar of spaghetti sauce and a box of pasta to round out the gift.

Are you ready?

Did you know that there are only 41 days until Christmas? For some reason, I'm ahead of schedule this year. My cards are bought. (I bought them last year on clearance. It was before I had purchased my KNK.) I have about 2/3 of my gifts bought and I know what I'm getting for the rest. The decorations will go up over Thanksgiving break. Now, I just need to scrapbook all of last years Christmas photos to make room for this years!

With little guys in the house, they're already saying to everyone, "Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas." They love Christmas and watch "The Polar Express" at least once a week year-round.

Welcome!

I have been on a roll creating KNK files. I had a successful day selling the finished products at a crop not long ago and thought that I really ought to offer my files to other KNKers. So, I'm working on this new-to-me world of blogging. Hopefully, I'll be able to post a couple of pictures of the finished products a day. Eventually, I'll get all of them on here. :)
