My son, Caleb, received a playset for his birthday a few years ago. He was so excited when his dad and I were building it that we let him "help" us. It was just too cute watching him with oversized work gloves, carrying lumber with his dad. Of course I took pictures. To make a great layout in the scrapbook, I needed some die cuts of power tools.

Beverages and Flip Flops

I was asked to design a variety of beverage files and a set of flip flops.

For the soda can, I originally tried to use a popular brand of soda's font. It was too intricate to do as small as I wanted. In order to fit the 3" tall can, the font needed to be about 1/4" tall. I did try increasing the can's size to 4" which increased the font as well, but it still wasn't enough. So, I settled on a more whimsical font (Swing Set BB).

I love the flip flops. As we're entering Spring, they're giving me hope for warmer weather. All sorts of patterned or plain paper could be used to personalize the flip flops. I chose some 'sunny' colors.

Carnival Food

My sister-in-law is throwing a carnival themed birthday party for her daughters and my son, Caleb. Since, the kids are 5 years old and under, she thought a picture menu was needed. I offered to make the menu. I created die cut files for all the food and also word titles to go with the items. All were assembled on a poster board. Here is a picture of Caleb holding the menu. Baby on the Way!

I am officially announcing the impending arrival of a third child to my husband and me. We are very excited. Saturday marks the end of my first trimester, so I thought I'd make some files that are pregnancy related and host a sale at the same time. Anyone purchasing files during my 13th week will receive 30% off their purchase order. My 13th week ends on Wednesday. So get your orders in via e-mail by midnight on Wednesday.
